Museum Hours and Fees

Mission San Luis Rey’s museum collection includes artifacts from Native American, Spanish, Mission, Mexican Secularization and American Military periods.

Museum Month - February 1 - 29, 2024

More than 60 museums and cultural institutions will participate in the 35th annual Museum Month from Feb. 1 to Feb. 29. The event offers half-off admission to visitors at participating locations. For more information and a list of participating locations, CLICK HERE.

Pick up your pass this February at more than 80 San Diego public libraries and start exploring the fun during San Diego Museum Month with 50% off admission to more than 60 San Diego County museums, historic sites, gardens, zoos, and aquariums. Your pass can be used for half-off admission four times at any of the museum locations that are part of this program. Passes are available at libraries and the program begins February 1, 2024. Mission San Luis Rey will have special free Kids activities each Saturday during February from 11am to 12:30pm. Come and join the fun!

Self-Guided Tours

Hours: Open 7 days a week: 10 am - 4:00 pm (The Museum is closed on New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.)

Adults $8

Seniors (65+) $5

Youth (ages 6-18) $5

Ages 5 and under, free of charge

Active-Duty Military and dependents, free of charge

Audio Tour available $3

  • For an additional $3, our new audio tour will bring Luiseño and Mission history alive as you walk through the exhibits in our Museum.
