Brother Kelly Cullen, ofm

Brother Kelly Cullen, ofm has a Masters of Divinity from the Franciscan School of Theology in Berkeley. For many years, prior to moving to Oceanside, he worked with low-income and homeless residents of San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood, both as Executive Director of two non-profit organizations and as a member on several non-profit Boards. Br. Kelly is the Mission’s retreat leader and leads retreats for both children and adults. He loves music, movies, prayer, poetry and life and is currently owned by two very special cats.

Father Philip Garcia, ofm

Father Philip Garcia, ofm has been a Franciscan Friar for 38 years and in ordained ministry for 28 years. During that time he has served in parishes, high schools, and retreat centers, most recently as retreat master at Serra Retreat in Malibu, CA. He joined the Oceanside staff in August 2009 and is involved in preached weekend and eight-day retreats, as well as individually-directed retreats. In addition, Fr. Philip serves Mission San Luis Rey Parish and is also available to lead parish missions and retreats upon request.

Father Larry Dolan, ofm

Father Larry Dolan, ofm (semi-retired) entered the Franciscan Order in 1987 after serving as a priest of the Diocese of San Diego for 22 years. He is a graduate of the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. He taught at the University of San Diego and has served in parishes in San Diego, Guaymas, Portland the Tohono O’odham Indian Reservation and Huntington Beach. He served most recently as rector of the Conventual Church of Our Lady of the Angels and Director of Pastoral Ministry at the Franciscan Renewal Center in Scottsdale, AZ. Presently he is the Guardian of Mission San Luis Rey.
