Monday, November 12, 2012

St. Clare of Assisi was the founder of the Poor Ladies, later to be known as the Poor Clares. She was born into a noble family in Assisi, Italy and along with her mother and sisters lived a life of prayer and devotion to God. St. Clare’s spiritual father was St. Francis of Assisi and on Palm Sunday in 1212, Francis received Clare into his Franciscan life with his brothers. Join Pat and learn what St. Clare has to teach us about our lives today.

Pat is the Director of Retreats and Programs for Mission San Luis Rey Retreat Center. She has been in ministry for over 20 years as Retreat Director and Spiritual Director. She has studied Franciscan Spirituality for over 20 years and is happy to be at the Retreat Center to share the love of Gospel living that St. Francis practiced.
