Christmas at the Mission - "Night of...
This event is now closed to new reservations.
It's that special time of year when the friars of Old Mission San Luis Rey open their doors to the community for a Christmas celebration in the Franciscan spirit of hospitality. "Christmas at the Mission" is a night of lights, music and especially, good food. The decorated Historic Church and singing carolers put everyone in the spirit of the season, and the gardens and Mission buildings are lit in hundreds of lights.
The main event takes place in the Sacred Garden where area restaurants including Fiesta Mexicana, Grandma's, Hunter's Steakhouse, King's Fish House, Ocean Thai Cuisine, Outback Steakhouse, Viva Market and Windmill Catering will offer generous samplings of their specialties. In addition, opportunity drawings will feature travel and other coveted prizes.
Admission tickets at $35 per person include all food samplings and one "spirit" beverage. The Dec. 14 event takes place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Proceeds will help the conservation of the Old Mission. Tickets are available at the door. Remember to dress warmly!
